| Title: | Paralegal |
| Bio: | Angela
Cook is a paralegal and our newest staff member. Angela brings a great
deal of civil litigation experience to our firm. She is a native of
nearby Galesburg. After graduating from Galesburg High School, she
entered Augustana College, where she achieved an outstanding scholastic
record. She majored in Political Science and Philosophy. She was named
to the Aristaeia Freshman Honor Society and the Augustana Dean's List,
and received an Augustana Honor Scholarship and a Centel Scholarship.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree cum
laude.
She was an exceptional student. After graduating from college, she
wanted a challenge, so she went to Chicago to work. She spent the next
six years working for two large litigation law firms, which dealt
primarily with insurance litigation, products liability and medical
malpractice. She had a successful experience with them. However, she
missed the non-metropolitan community, so she came to Rockford, where
she spent an additional five years as a legal assistant and paralegal
in a firm that also handled insurance litigation. She is well adept in
civil litigation.
She joined us in late 2006, and we feel very fortunate. She brings
another dimension to the firm. She is primarily involved in the
preparation of cases for jury trials and as a trial assistant. Angela
is well traveled, having often visited relatives in Sweden. She is
bilingual in English and Swedish. She has studied in Europe and looks
forward to her next trip. At home, she is a rabid hockey fan and a
strong supporter of Rockford's professional hockey team, the "Icehogs,"
whom she recently cheered on to their first league championship. |
